Aromatherapy Lessens Stress
In a research conducted by personnel at Department of Photonics and Communication Engineering, Asia University, Taichung, Taiwan, Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine" (April 2011) the use of "Bergamot” essential oil was used for aromatherapy, in a spray form, for 10 minutes, to lessen stress. Researchers noted blood pressure and autonomic nervous system parameters that were recorded five minutes before and 5 minutes after the application of the aroma spray. The results showed that there were significant decreases in blood pressure and heart rate.
